Q: Since when have you been associated with Submerge?
I think approximately when they started. But it’s about 4 years ago. I am resident DJ in the Elevate club in Delhi, where I played on Fridays and they started to also book me in Mumbai and Chennai on their nights in the same weekend.
Q: What kind of music do you specialize in?
My music varies from driving progressive house to light trance sometimes with vocals. But always with a drive and lots of energy .
Q: How many times have u performed in India/Pune?
In Pune I performed once before, but in India about 20 times…
Q: What do like most about India?
The people! From all the countries I visit the reaction from the Indian clubbers is one of the best. The are really enthusiastic and they have always embraced my music, which feels great when you are doing what you love!
Q: Any new productions in the making?
I have a lot of releases coming out, including one with Jan Johnston. Who is known for working with Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Paul Van Dijk. Also I did a track with Therese, she was #5 in the UK with her single ‘Put em High’. Furthermore I did a track with Jerry Given, who is a very popular artist in the Netherlands. His latest album was double Platinum on sales. This track is just signed to Warner Brothers in Asia. It also has a videoclip and you can see it on my site: www.djsan.com. Besides that I have some instrumental tracks coming out on Fektive records.
Q: What is your Entertainment Quotient? (When you are not playing music what do you like doing?) Well if you are in the music business you have a hard time doing anything else. It just takes up almost all my time. During the week I run my label www.fektive.com and in the weekends I travel all around the world to dj. I also work in the studio, but its mostly at night during the week, so hardly time to eat…
